Zion Lutheran Church celebrated it's 125 year anniversary with Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 24th, 2011. There was delicious brats, root beer, pretzels, and assorted German Desserts. There was fun for the entire family including pony rides, moonwalk bounce, kids crafts, kid parade, carnival games, face painting, tug of war, dunking booth, horse shoes, and ladder balll.
Zion was visited by the German folk dancing group, Heimat Tanzer (homeland dancers) from the German American Society. There were several dance demonstrations through out the day and the kids were treated to German dance lessons.
Attendance by families in the surrounding community was high and the weather was picture perfect.
