The Works of Luther!

Martin Luther
The "Works of Luther" Bible Study happens about once a month on Sunday evening normally at 6:30 in the Lake View Room. See the announcements in the Service Bulletin, The Bell or the front page of this website for current dates and times.  For those of you who have not attended the study before, you are welcome to drop in at anytime.  Come early for best seating. The coffee will be on.  For those who have enjoyed Pastor Kuhlmans "unique" style and depth of insight into the writings of Luther and the early church fathers, we invite you back for another installment.

Update 03/08/2017

Pastor Kuhlman will begin a new study,  In Celebration of the 500th Year of the Reformation: Martin Luither's Writings. The first session will be March 19 at 6:30pm and will talk about "The Babylonian Captivity of the Church".

This class is for:
  • Anyone who has thought about reading Luther’s Works but feels intimidated by tackling the task alone.
  • Anyone who is interested in hearing a long-time scholar of Luther expound his findings with great joy and vigor.
  • Anyone who would like to pursue some more in-depth reading of and/or listening to works of Luther beyond the Small Catechism.

Rev. Brent Kuhlman of Trinity Lutheran—Murdock will be our instructor. Pastor Kuhlman holds both the Master of Divinity and Master of Sacred Theology degrees from Concordia Semi nary in St. Louis. He has served as guest professor at Concordia University, Seward, NE, Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN, and the Lutheran Seminary, Novosibirsk, Siberia.

We are delighted to have him come and lead us in these studies. Some comments from our first trial meeting:

“It’s like drinking from a Fire Hose!”
“I can’t believe the hour’s up. Didn’t we just get started?”
“It’s almost as if this guy’s the second coming of Martin
Luther! WOW!”
