Sunday Morning Bible Study
Please join us for Adult Bible Classes at 9:30 AM on Sundays between services. Coffee, snacks and fellowship are always plentiful.
- Bible Study on the Devine Call - In preparation for calling a director of music to Zion, this study will look at the biblical basis for the pastoral office and how auxiliary offices, like that of teacher or music director, relate to it. We will also spend time looking at what Zion expects from this new position and what calling a director of music implies.
- Bible Study on the Augsburg Confession - What does it mean to be Lutheran? Here is what Lutherans believe, teach and confess. In the year 1530, the Lutherans were required to present their confession of faith before the emperor in Augsburg, Germany. Philip Melanchthon wrote the Augsburg Confession and it was read before the imperial court on June 30, 1530. The largest document in the Book of Concord, its longest chapter is devoted to the most important truth of the Christian faith: the doctrine of Justification by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. This Bible Study lead by Pastor Berndt is in the Multi-Purpose Room.
