The last we heard from son of Zion Michael Ersland his plans were set for Zambia, Africa as a Bible translation advisor.  Well, there has been a slight change in plans and he is now bound for Ghana, West Africa.  He will be working with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ghana, the Bible Society of Ghana, and the Komba Literacy and Bible Translation Project.  This project has undertaken the translation of the Old Testament (beginning with the lectionary) following the successful launch of the NewTestament in November 2014.  Michael would like to set off to Ghana as soon as possible to join his new colleagues. The last obstacles remaining are funding for his household setup ($7,500 needed) and for his vehicle ($28,000 needed). Please prayerfully consider a special gift to one or both of these funds so that Michael can be released for service among the Komba.

You can read more about Michael's plans in his Winter/Spring 2016 newsletter or watch his video on his Luthern Bible Translator Project Page.  He also posts to his Ersland Updates Facebook group.  If you are interested in assisting financialy with Michael Ersland's mission work please go to his web page here and look near the bottom for links to Ersland Ministry "Ersland-Vehicle" or "Ersland-Household Set-up".
